I can't think of anyplace in ...Thanks, Elaine!

I can't think of anyplace in the world that doesn't have ticks (maybe Antarctica?) Lyme disease has been documented in every state (not 100% sure about Hawaii, though) and on every continent except Antarctica. The ticks that carry these illnesses exist any where that deer and mice exist, which is just about everywhere.

Not trying to scare you, just wanted you to be aware...Sue Jacksonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14532098225905355332noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22576999.post-81402458997192432822011-05-26T14:47:54.411-04:002011-05-26T14:47:54.411-04:00Good for you Sue! W...Good for you Sue! That is a lot of weeding:)

We don't have ticks here where I live so I don't worry about them. But it must be terrible to live where they are...

That movie sounds wonderful! I will try to get it thru our library!

Blessings to you all and my goodness you all sound so busy!

ElaineElainehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06922200217770835483noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22576999.post-92045654761531279672011-05-25T03:30:49.682-04:002011-05-25T03:30:49.682-04:00I'll have to add that one to my list. Back before I got CFS and gardened all the time I used to sit on an old chair cushion when I was weeding. It kept my bum clean and was way more comfortable to sit on than the ground.

There are tick traps on the market now specifically for deer ticks. I think it only takes two to treat an average sized yard. http://www.ticktubes.com/?gclid=CLjxluLKgqkCFcZ95QodS2dTSQBaffledhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16763003920036754454noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22576999.post-76084514243423315902011-05-23T20:09:06.630-04:002011-05-23T20:09:06.630-04:00I like Reese too. Actually, we cut out our cable so we dont have TV unless we watch it via internet. Well, I hope you have a blessed week.Keenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04872631822031248926noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22576999.post-88048639951116627062011-05-23T19:44:11.592-04:002011-05-23T19:44:11.592-04:00Renee -

One time, I sat in our pine-needle covered bed in shorts to weed (less strenuous that way, I figured), then went in and showered. I was drying off and couldn't seem to get rid of some little specks of dirt...then I realized they were tiny ticks (the exact size that can transmit Lyme disease) - all over my...uh...well...the area that touched the ground while I was sitting! Ken had to meticulously pick off every single one with tweezers - there were almost 70 of them!!! I now make sure to spray myself and sit on a towel, too. Creepy, huh?Sue Jacksonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14532098225905355332noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22576999.post-63691783426235771692011-05-23T19:09:35.431-04:002011-05-23T19:09:35.431-04:00Sounds like a good movie to see!
