I thought it was a wonderful movie. I listened to an audiobook of The House of Sand and Fog. That was enough -- I didn't watch the movie, even though I knew it was probably excellent.Tonihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05729837575450453607noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22576999.post-3881137986199868502012-02-14T20:50:19.794-05:002012-02-14T20:50:19.794-05:00So sorry. I actually got to see it in the cinema. Loved it.

Haven't heard of Drive or Valentine's Day. Drive sounds like something me and hubs can watch together.

I've been busy watching Stargate from episode one. Since it was on the air for ten seasons this will keep me busy for a while.

Hang in there. Things will get better.Baffledhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16763003920036754454noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22576999.post-35054657233843373802012-02-14T19:43:44.800-05:002012-02-14T19:43:44.800-05:00Sue~ Sorry to hear about your crash - and your son...Sue~ Sorry to hear about your crash - and your sons + the problems at school. ugh. Prayers for all of you. I hope things get better soon.

p.s. - I love Avatar! My hubby is a sci-fi fan, but I am not. This was one movie we agreed on :)Pamelahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05578825920314020836noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22576999.post-28484377734365533032012-02-14T08:38:03.690-05:002012-02-14T08:38:03.690-05:00Toni -

Our highest standard for depressing movies is The House of Sand and Fog - this wasn't quite THAT depressing, but there were still an awful lot of dead bodies by the end!

I'm not familiar with Carey Mulligan but we did like her in this movie - will have to look for her in An Education - thanks for the recommendation!

SueSue Jacksonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14532098225905355332noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22576999.post-49307827276627683952012-02-13T22:31:40.458-05:002012-02-13T22:31:40.458-05:00I'm so sorry to hear that Jamie is still not d...I'm so sorry to hear that Jamie is still not doing well. I don't understand why the school isn't being more cooperative. It seems to vary so much by school district. Fingers crossed that you've turned a corner and that Jamie will too.

Tony and I watched Drive last week. We thought that it started out in a very promising way -- it had about four plot lines going. But then most of them didn't go anywhere. So, in the end, we were disappointed, even though I'm a big fan of Carey Mulligan. I hope you've seen her in An Education. (She was using an American accent in Drive!)Tonihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05729837575450453607noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22576999.post-61001584046267917992012-02-13T19:38:30.387-05:002012-02-13T19:38:30.387-05:00So sorry you are still struggling so much and so u...So sorry you are still struggling so much and so upsetting to hear Jamie is still unable to be in school or up and about much. He has had a really tough year. Hope and pray your Lyme is gone for good and Jamie's is on its way out!Reneehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07089685282700680525noreply@blogger.com
