Delusions

Still too sick to be on the computer for more than a moment or two but just had to share this hilarious blog post from Cranky Fibro Girl.  Loved this!!  Boy, do I ever need a Chronic Illness Delusional Intervention Fairy of my own!  Thanks very much to one of my blog readers, Baffled, for passing this along to me so I could share it with you.

No delusions this weekend - can't do anything but read and sleep.  Thank goodness for good books.

  1. Thanks so much for sharing this. I really needed it. So much better than my deeply brooding thoughts on the same topic. Note to self: Try a little humor next time. :)

  2. Boy, do I relate to this post...This past week the trip caused a bit of a back ache...then walking up and down the 17 wide apart stairs 4 times on Friday gave my back another twinge...BUT I ignored them all and decided for the first time ever with my deconditioned body to try a yoga move that involved bending my knee and turning my back. It felt so goodddd...and.....then....last night I bent over and my back went out again. First time in 18 mo. and I have no one to blame but myself. Being in denial over how sick I really am. So my walker and I are making friends once again. Denial...I need one of those fairies too!!!
    Rest well, Sue.

  3. Hang in there and rest .... I hate those days when bed is the only option. I hope you recover quickly :)

    Fibro Cranky Girl is a hoot! Isn't it amazing how similar so many of the chronic illnesses are?

  6. @Shelli -
    Yes! I had the same thought! As I posted the link to her blog, I was surprised to find that I didn't even have a category for "humor" here - we could all use a sense of humor when dealing with this crazy illness!

    @Renee -
    Sorry to hear you're suffering, too. I hope you're feeling better soon.

    To all - so glad you enjoyed that post, too - it really hit home for me. I feel like I should print it out and hang it up so I can read it whenever I'm in danger of talking myself into doing something I shouldn't!

    Sue
