Back home today - spent the day doing muddy laundry and cleaning up the filthy camper - yesterday was messy! Our A/C is out AGAIN - 6th time this summer - but fortunately, the temperature has finally fallen a bit in Delaware, with highs this week in the 80's instead of the 90's, thank goodness! It should be fixed tomorrow (though they said they'll be here between 1 and 3 pm, prime nap time).
So, last week, we really only watched one movie:
- Jamie and I watched Mission, Impossible with Tom Cruise while Ken golfed and Craig slept over at a friend's house. Jamie'd never seen any of the MI movies, so he really enjoyed the action and suspense.
- We're watching another movie right now (I'm blogging during the commercials!) that the kids found on AMC, a classic - Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Jamie and I watched it on a sick day last year, but Craig has never seen it. We're all enjoying it - so funny!

I enjoyed MI too, but did not see more than the first one...
We watched the movie, Everybody's Fine and it was awful...so depressing it put me in a funk. I would recommend it to NO ONE......It was not worth the $1 we spent to rent it!
Oh, no! Sorry you didn't enjoy Everybody's Fine, Renee. It was a bit sad in parts, but we liked it. To each his own, as they say...
Sue
I had a Ferris Bueller sick day last year too. The ultimate sick-faker movie for when you're actually sick!
We saw Moon, which was interesting and strange but in some ways flawed. Worth seeing though, lots of ideas but fairly dark and could be creepy if you're in the wrong mood.
I'm ready for something light!
D.
As usual, I have seen *lots* of films: Inception; took my amazing nephew to see Toy Story 3; The A Team; Shutter Island; Legion; True Romance; Wrong Turn; Wrong Turn 2; The Crazies; Daylight.
I saw MI a long time ago and couldn't figure it out! As a massive De Niro fan, I liked Everybody's Fine.
Hope things are good with you and yours.
I love the MI movies and Ferris Bueller is a classic - think I could watch it any time! I've seen a lot of movies this week: Marley & Me, The Ugly Truth, The Bounty Hunter, Lost in Austen, and the Jane Austen book club. -- all were quite entertaining, but nothing to write home about.
Hi Sue, I wanted to respond right away to your question about reproduction time so thought I would do it here...
Every 4 weeks Lyme reproduces or attempts to. Bartonella also reproduces although I am not so sure of the time line. babesia actually every 6 days or so!
Usually symptoms increase during these days....even on abx as then you will have even more die off...due to antibiotics actually causing Lyme bacteria to go into hiding in cyst form....So if you notice more fatigue or pain, etc. note it and see if that happens the next month. My Lyme symptoms now are not as bad during this reproduction time as my Bart are....either way, it is harder. Hope this helps some...
The movie Something's Fine..you said you liked it. I think it is where we are in age and having adult children....and also prefering uplifting movies right now.....It just was so sad....throughout with only 5 minutes at the end being positive it seemed...
Glad you guys liked it! I think my favorite this summer has been "It's Complicated".
